MESS BILL REBATE FOR MEMBER ON TAD

Compute the actual mess bill rebate by determining the inclusive number of days the member is not eating in the mess; for example:

No mess share rebate is given for 9 February since the member has returned to the mess before the time of the evening meal (1800).

MESS BILL REBATE FOR MEMBER ON LEAVE

The day of departure on leave is counted as a day of duty. However, for mess purposes this day is the first day of absence if the member does not eat any meals in the mess on that day. If a member returns before 1800, the day before the day of return is the last day of the absence. When a member goes on leave, he or she is entitled to a mess bill rebate for the entire period of absence; for example:

Rebate for July.

Inclusive dates not chargeable: 7/1 to 7/4 (4 days). 4 x $48.00 = $192.00.
