Decontaminating Kit M258A1 An M258A1 is issued to each individual during operations in a toxic chemical environment. It decon-taminates both nerve and blister agents. The use of this kit was discussed earlier in this chapter. The kit contains three towelettes of each type (a total of six). Each pad is sealed in tearaway impermeable foil packets. Mark I Three NAAK, Mark I, injectors are carried by the individual in the top outside pocket of the mask carrier. These injectors are used for nerve agent first aid. This solution has a relatively high-freezing point and should be removed from the carrier and placed inside the field uniform in cold weather (below 45F). CBR
