The man-hour timespecified is the time you need to do all services pre-scribed for a particular interval. Decrease the intervals ifyour lubricants are contaminated, or if you are operatingequipment under adverse conditions, including longer-than-usual operating hours. The intervals may beextended during periods of low activity. If extended,adequate preservation precautions must be taken.Dotted leader lines indicate lubrication is required onboth sides of the equipment.WARNINGDry cleaning solvent P-D-680 is toxicand flammable. Wear protectivegoggles, face mask, and gloves anduse in a well ventilated area. Avoidcontact with skin, eyes, and clothesand do not breath vapors. Do not usenear open flame or excessive heat.The flash point for Type I solvent is100 degrees F (38 degrees C). Theflash point for Type II solvent is 140degrees F (60 degrees C). If you be-come dizzy while using cleaningsolvent, get fresh air immediately andget medical aid. If contact with eyesis made, wash your eyes with waterand get medical aid immediately.Clean all fittings and area around lubrication points withdry cleaning solvent (Item 11, Appendix E) or equivalentbefore lubricating equipment. After lubrication, wipe offexcess oil or grease to prevent accumulation of foreignmatter.The lowest level of maintenance authorized to lubricate apoint is indicated in parentheses by use of the following:(C) Operator/Crew; or (O) Organizational Maintenance.3-3
