Allow engine to cool before performing trouble-
shooting maintenance. If necessary use
insulated pads and gloves. Hot engine
components will burn and cause injury to
personnel.
Remove all jewelry such as rings, dog tags,
bracelets, etc. If jewelry or tools contact
positive electrical circuits, a direct short
may result. Damage to equipment, injury or
death to personnel may occur.
Use jumperwire only between terminals indicated.
Failure to comply may result in damage to DDEC
components or wiring.
RESISTANCE TEST
(1) Read resistance between terminals J
and A and J and H on DDL connector
MC13.
(a) If there are less than 5 ohms
present, repair wires 435, 439
and/or 900 (see schematic Fig
2-1) or notify DS Maintenance.
(b) If there are more than 5
ohms present, go to Step (2)
below.
(2) Read resistance between terminals K
and A and K and H on DDL connector
MC13.
(a) If there are less than 5 ohms
present, repair wires 435, 439
and/or 901 (see schematic
is 2-1) or notify DS Maintenance.
(b) If there are more than 5
ohms present, wires 435, 439,
900 and 901 are OK.
RESISTANCE TEST
(1) Read resistance between terminals
C2 and C1 on vehicle harness
connector MC18.
(a) If there are more than 5 ohms
present, remove jumperwire and
repair wires 900 and/or 901
(see schematic Fig 2-3).
(b) If there are less than 5 ohms
present, wires 900 and 901 are
OK.
(2) Remove jumperwire.
